About David Buuck
David Buuck came to Knoxville in 1966 to attend the University of Tennessee and never left. He graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law and began his law practice in 1980.
David is "The People's Lawyer." During his 33-year career in private practice, he specialized in government law, property rights, taxation, and general business law. He represented “Citizens for Home Rule” in more than 140 court cases fighting the forced annexation of property owners into the city and double taxation.
He has practiced in all courts of East Tennessee, the Federal District Court in Knoxville, Nashville, and Memphis, and the Sixth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals in Cincinnati. He has represented many clients before the Tennessee Court of Appeals and the Tennessee Supreme Court.
